Spirit wear fundraising for Costa Mesa schools
Team stores for Costa Mesa booster clubs. We run design, fulfillment, marketing and tax. No setup cost, and 20% of total order value to the club.
Costa Mesa is the other half of Newport-Mesa Unified, and its two comprehensive high schools — Costa Mesa and Estancia — run smaller programs than the Newport campuses across the district.
Program size is the thing worth being honest about. A store earns in proportion to how many families it reaches, so a smaller program earns less in absolute terms than a large one. What does not change is the risk: with nothing bought up front and no minimum order, a small program is not exposed if a season is quiet. That is a different proposition from a bulk order, where a smaller club is the one most likely to be left holding stock it paid for.
For a program of this size the range matters more than it does for a large one. A tight selection of things people actually wear will outsell a broad catalog, because a small buying population spread across forty products produces no volume on any of them.

What we handle, and what you do
1. You send colors, marks and rosters
Along with written confirmation from the district that the club may use the school name and logo. That is the entire job on your side.
2. We build and you approve
We design the range and the storefront. The range you approve is the range that sells for the rest of the season, so this is the point to be fussy.
3. We print, ship and support
Each order is produced after it is bought and shipped direct to that buyer. No sorting, no distribution day, no leftover sizes.
4. We promote it
Text and email campaigns to your opted-in families, timed to season launch, playoffs, senior night and the winter holidays.
5. You get paid
20% of total order value, remitted on a set schedule. A share of what the store sells, not a share of margin after costs.
Questions from Costa Mesa clubs
- Is our program too small for this to be worth it?
- Possibly, and we will say so on the call rather than after. A store earns in proportion to the families it reaches. What is true at any size is that there is nothing to lose by trying it, because nothing is bought up front.
- How many products should we offer?
- Fewer than you would expect. A tight range of items people actually wear outsells a catalog, and that is more pronounced for a smaller program, where a broad range splits a small buying population across too many products.
