Capistrano Unified is geographically one of the largest districts in Orange County, running from the coast at San Clemente and Dana Point inland through Ladera Ranch and Coto de Caza. Six comprehensive high schools sit inside it, and several of the cities it serves it serves only partly.

That last point is the one that catches clubs out. Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and Aliso Viejo are each split with a neighboring district, so two schools in the same city can answer to different offices with different processes. Confirming which district your campus actually belongs to is a five-minute check that saves a month.

The spread also affects how a store should be promoted. A district this large has no single community: a campaign that works for a coastal campus reaches a different set of families than one aimed inland, and the reliable spikes follow each school's own season rather than a district-wide calendar.

Does one approval cover every school in the district?
Each school's marks are its own even when the licensing office is shared. A club at one campus should not assume approval obtained by a club at another campus extends to it.
